3 pleasure practices to start your year.

There is a lot of hype this time of year to set goals, achieve and conquer your year. This is fantastic, yet a part of me saddens at false motivation, pushing and striving that rarely lasts beyond the second week of January.

As a sexologist, relationship counsellor  and women’s mentor I often suggest to my clients that not only can they discover what It is they truly desire through coming into that trance like state of pleasure but they can also utilise the same orgasmic energy to bring them into deeper alignment with their hopes and dreams. 

Something that may help you carry a new sense of self into the year are new pleasure practices so I encourage you to look at the following practices and see which one feels alive for your 2025.

  1. Exploring hip circles. Sitting crossed legged on a yoga mat try turning on a slow song and tuning into your sex centre located in the centre of your body behind your pubis mons. Breath life into this part of your body and begin to slowly circulate your hips in a way that only you can see to start with and then beginning to increase the hip circles as you lengthen your breath. 

Doing this practice once a day will allow you to cultivate more pleasure when you do come to touch your genitals and will increase the sensitivity of your energetic capacity to feel pleasure before touch even begins.

  1. Diamond Pelvic squeezing

This exercise involves becoming very aware of the internal experience of your pelvic region. To squeeze your pelvic floor you merely need to pull up the muscles within that would stop you from peeing if you were mid stream. To trial the diamond pelvic squeezing we want to do the same but instead of one internal pull up, we will pull up the left and right to start with and then the front and back. Eventually moving from front, right, bottom and left, before you begin again. 

Strengthening your pelvic floor allows you to increase blood flow and circulation in your yoni.

  1. Raising your kundalini.

Standing place both arms out to your sides at shoulder height. Have the left palm facing up and the right palm facing down. Stay there for 5 minutes and then take your hands up to the sky deepening your breath and then take your hands over the front of your body. 

Working with bringing the energy up into the upper body and heart you are increasing your capacity to work with the kundalini energy of the earth. Do this before starting a self pleasure practice and you will feel more.
