One thing that really gets to me around the beginning of every new year is the memes and posts I see claiming that we have failed yet another year and we’ll be trying again to hit our goals in 2025…
This idea that you need to push harder, do more and achieve more sits inside of a patriarchal view point that believes to make things happen you must engage your will and push against the tide.
I personally have done this and what I experienced was burn out.
I’m yet to see people not loose their health, relationships or mental stability when they really go to town with these notions of pushing up hill to make things happen in their life.
